Learn Wudu Step by Step
Wudu is a way to get cleanliness physically, spiritually and mental preparation of Muslims for offering Namaz (prayer) which is important pillar of Islam after saying shahadat during converting to Islam. we can not offer salat without making Wudu or Tayammum (Masah – dry ablution using vessels of clay)
Niyyah. First of all, make intention (Niyyah) in your heart that this act of making wudu is for offering namaz or reading quran just for sake of Allah then say: “Bismillah” (in the name of Allah).
Step 1: Wash both hands. wash your both hands up to your wrists three times, make sure that water has reached among the fingers and thumb too.
Step 2: Rinse your mouth. Take water in your palm of right hand and put it into your mouth, keep on rinsing your mouth like this three times and make sure, there is no more food remaining in your mouth.
Step 3: Rinse your nose. Take water in your palm of right hand and inhale it carefully into your nose three times. Use your left hand if necessary to help blowing it out
Step 4: Wash your face. wash your whole face three times while starting from your forehead to the bottom of the chin and from your right ear to the left ear properly.
Step 5: Wash your arms. wash your right hand up to the elbow properly and make sure that no part of the arm has been left dry then wash left hand like this three times.
Step 6: Perform Masah. wipe your both wet hands from forehead to back of your neck and then wipe back from your neck to forehead again, do it only one time.
Step 7: Wipe your both ears. wipe the grooves and holes of ears with the wet index fingers of your both hands while also using your thumbs of both hands to clean your behind ears from the bottom upwards. do it only one time.
Step 8: Wash your both feet. starting from right foot, wash your both feet to the ankles three times, Use your pinky finger and go through each toe to get rid of anything between the toes and make sure that water has reached between the toes and covered the rest of the foot.
Dua After Making wudu in Arabic Text
Read shahada Dua. Ash-hadu Anlaa ilaaha illALLAHu…. After completing wudu, recite a dua of witness (shahada duaa) while pointing the index finger of right hand to the sky as our beloved Holy Prophet Hazarat Muhammad (PBUH) used to say after making wudu.
Transliteration of Shahada Dua: “Ash-hadu Anlaa ilaaha illALLAHu wahdahuu laa shariikalahu, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhuu wa rasuuluhu.”
Meaning of Duaa Shahada after Wudu: “I bear witness that there is no deity other than Allah alone; He is One; He has no partner and I bear witness that (Hadrat) Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi Wasallam) is His (chosen) servant and (true) Messenger.”
2:Dua After Making Wudu: Allahummaj’alni Minat……
Transliteration of Allahummaj’alni Minat Dua:
Allahummaj ‘alni minat-tawwabina waj’alni minal-mutatahhirin.
Translation of Allahummaj’alni Minat Dua:
O Allah, make me among those who turn to You in repentance, and make me among those who are purified.
Note: Once wudu is completed, it does not need to be performed again until it is invalidated.
Dua For Majlis-Kafara Majlis ki Dua: Subhanaka Allahumma
سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ
Transliteration of Subhanaka Allahumma wa Dua:
Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, “ash-hadu “an la “ilaha “illa “Anta, ‘astaghfiruka wa ‘atubu ‘ilayk.
Translation of Subhanaka Allahumma wa Dua:
Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.
